Safeguarding at Falkland
Falkland Cricket Club is an ECB Clubmark registered club, operating within the guidelines and processes of the ECB's Safe Hands Policy. This policy promotes good practice, helps raise awareness of safeguarding, and guides as to what to do if there are concerns about behaviours around the club where welfare might be at risk. Although it involves all members, Safeguarding at Falkland is the responsibility of club Trustees who appoint Safeguarding Officers to operate the Safe Hands Policy and provide feedback.
We want all members to have positive experiences at the club, feeling safe and included in club activities. To this end, the club and its Trustees operates a number of conduct policies (including a Safeguarding policy), which can be found using the link below. These policies go some way to ensuring processes are undertaken, but they are only as successful as the culture of the club. ALL Members (whether adult or junior, parent, player or spectator) are expected to conduct themselves in accordance with club policies and play their part in welcoming and including all other members in a positive manner. In return, the club commits to listening to any member who has a view on how safeguarding could be further improved, or has a grievance they wish to report. This process is continuous and anyone with any grievance, or views on potential improvement, can contact one of our Safeguarding Officers.

Falkland Safeguarding Officers:
While the club should be your first point of contact, if there's any reason why you'd rather not speak with a Falkland Safeguarding Officer, or you feel that there is insufficient support from the club, you can contact the Safeguarding team at Berkshire Cricket by searching for 'Berkshire Cricket Safeguarding'.
The ECB also has a Safeguarding oversight team, and lots of helpful safeguarding information from the ECB can be found by searching for 'ECB Safeguarding'. You'll also find the Safe Hands Policy here.
