About Us

Amersham Cricket Club, set in the heart of the Chiltern Hills, is one of the most beautiful venues in the country, whether for a game of cricket or for a social event.

Our 4 Saturday League teams all compete in the Thames Valley Cricket League structure. Our 1st XI won the Thames Valley League in 2013, securing promotion to division 2 of the Home Counties Premier League, however were narrowly relegated in 2024. It is the club’s ambition to build for re-promotion over the upcoming years.. The 2nd XI claimed promotion from TVL division 3 in 2017 and are now playing in division 2, with sights on promotion from division 2 with a young and exciting team. The 3rd XI backed up their 2024, promotions by achieving a mid-table finish division 6, with the 4th XI playing in division 9 and seen as the club’s nursery for future senior players. All 3rd & 4th XI home games are played at the delightful Little Kingshill ground. Our two Sunday teams play a mix of with of teams, with the Sunday 1s playing home only against wandering teams, and the Sunday 2s playing home and away to regular league teams.

We have an active and thriving Colts community, with sections for both boys and girls from age 5 upwards with competitive matches from U9 to U19s. Trainings run throughout the week, with the younger teams trading on Sunday mornings, leading to the senior trading sessions at 6pm on Thursday. Fridays is social day with the All Stars and U8s training from 5:45 pm, and the ladies training from 6pm - all the while the bar being open for those wanting to unwind after their busy weeks.

New members are always very welcome, whether as new Colts, new senior players or returning ones - we will have a team that will suit your abilities.

With our friendly net sessions and equipment on hand you’ll be able to come along to a summer session and try out the sport to see if you like it.

Social Scene at the Clubhouse

There is a licensed bar at the Clubhouse, offering a wide range of refreshments and fresh coffee. The club host events throughout the year providing further social evenings and match days at the clubhouse. All are very welcome.
