1. Coaching Groups and maximizing participation Others

Herefordshire Cricket is delighted to offer the new four Coach Development Workshops created by the ECB recently. Each workshop will cost £15 or all four can be booked for £50. In general the workshops on the 29^th November are focused on club coaches (jnrs) and the 6^th December ones all coaches, particularly those wishing to improve their understanding and input. These workshops will mostly be delivered by HCL Staff and will be done at Bridge Street Sports Centre, Leominster. The sessions will be active, so tracksuit and trainers required.

Coaching large numbers can be rewarding but it also brings real challenges around organisation, inclusion and maintaining quality. Coaching groups and integrating practices supports coaches to plan sessions that keep players engaged, active, and supported, even when coach-to-player ratios are stretched

·       Organisation: setting up spaces, tasks and transitions with clarity

·       Keeping players active: reducing queueing  and increasing involvement & learning

·       Communication: providing instructions that are concise, clear and usable.

·       Creating positive behaviour by appropriate & engaging activities
