Membership Officer (Volunteer Role)
Membership payments are a vital source of income for our club, funding essential areas such as pitch maintenance, clubhouse upkeep, and utility costs. We are seeking a dedicated volunteer to support Treasurers John and Liz in managing memberships.
This is a challenging yet rewarding role, perfect for someone looking to develop skills in people management, financial administration, and reporting while making a real contribution to the club’s success. The fact tthat John and Liz support means that the time and effort required should be more than manageable with a full time job and family.
About the Role
Our club has approximately:
300 junior members
100 senior members
100 non-playing members
Each season, membership fees are collected through either one-off payments or monthly instalments.
The Membership Officer will:
Liaise with team administrators and coaches to ensure all players and non-playing members have set up payments.
Prepare and present a monthly membership report at the committee meeting.
Manage senior membership benefits, including the distribution of club loyalty cards and activation on the club’s till system.
Key Responsibilities
Coordinate with team admins and coaches.
Prepare clear, timely monthly reports.
Oversee the issue and activation of senior membership loyalty cards.
Skills & Experience
Strong people skills – able to have constructive conversations while upholding our club values.
Basic IT competence – able to work with spreadsheets, emails, and payment systems.
Attention to detail – diligent in tracking, monitoring, and reporting.
